Women’s Health

There is a range of healthcare problems which affect women and your practice team can help with all of them.

Endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome, painful periods and the menopause are just an example of the conditions affecting women. As your primary care provider, your practice team can diagnose, treat and refer you for all women’s health issues.

Cervical screening

Cervical screening checks the health of your cervix. It is also known as a smear test. It is a test to prevent cancer. During the test a small sample of cells will be taken with a brush. All women with a cervix will be called for screening tests between age 25-64. An abnormal result does not mean that you have cancer. Abnormal tests will be followed up with more testing to prevent any changes becoming cancerous.
