Book a free Covid-19 test

Get a free NHS test today to check if you have Coronavirus.
You can have a test (swab test) to check if you have coronavirus (COVID-19) now. You can choose to take the test:

  • at a test site near you today and get your result tomorrow
  • with a home test kit

NHS Test and Trace

  • If the NHS Test and Trace service contacts you, the service will use text messages, email or phone.
  • All texts or emails will ask you to sign into the NHS Test and Trace contact-tracing website.
  • If NHS Test and Trace calls you by phone, the service will be using a single phone number: 0300 013 5000.

Information if you are Isolating at Home

The NHS have developed a leaflet to provide information to people with suspected coronavirus who have not been admitted to hospital, and are isolating at home.

These changes should get better over time, some may take longer than others, but there are things you can do to help.

Carers Support
East Cheshire Carers Hub are still open and can offer support by phone and email. Contact them directly on 0300 303 0208 (Mon – Fri, 8am – 6pm) or by email on enquiries@cheshireeastcarershub.co.uk.

Cheshire East Council has launched a service offering support to unpaid carers during the Covid-19 outbreak. For more information about this service, please click here.

Dental Care
If you are in need of urgent dental care, are in pain or need support then please phone your usual dental practice. All dental practices should be able to provide advice and management to you over the phone. This includes giving advice, guidance and prescriptions, which you can collect from your local pharmacy.

If you do not have a dentist, please call the Cheshire & Merseyside Dental Helpline on 0161 476 9651. They will assess you and provide advice over the phone which may result in a remote consultation with a dentist.

Domestic Abuse
You are not alone. For anyone affected, you can get in touch with Cheshire East Domestic Abuse Hub on 0300 123 5101. For more details, please click here.

Fraud
Beware of online scams and fraud during the Covid-19 outbreak.

We have received reports of a possible scam. Some women are being contacted by text message, claiming to be from the call and recall service to advise they are overdue for cervical screening. The message asks them to call a mobile number and provide personal details. These messages are not from the NHS Cervical Screening Programme. The Action Fraud Line has been contacted.
